Too Many Volts is a four-piece groove machine. A Hammond organ pushed too hard, guitars sweating through dirty amps, basslines that won't sit still, and drums hitting somewhere between tight and dangerous. Funk, soul, late-night energy — played loud enough to shake the room and deep enough to stay in your chest. Sometimes joined by funky horns, sometimes lifted by voices like Freda Goodlett or Lucky Wüthrich. Everything you hear was played by humans, with sweat on their hands and groove on their minds.
